St. Ursula Bulldogs win the 2022 Big Blue Challenge Tournament!
The Bulldogs were anxious to compete in the 2022 Big Blue Challenge Tournament on Sunday, December 4th at Rollhouse Lanes. As they prepare for a day of 3 games and 6 bakers, they started off strong.
St. Ursula 1 started the first half of the day off with a 3 game total of 2524, with a high team game of 889. The Bulldogs were led by Senior Alli Shattuck with a 3 game total of 606, landing her a second place finish and on the All Tournament Team. Junior, Payton Beard was the next leader on the team with a series total of 544.
St. Ursula 2 was one of a few Reserve teams competing within the field today and they did a great job! They came out with a 3 game start of 1647. The Bulldogs were led by freshmen Claire Schwiebert and Shelby Luebbering with series of 374 and 373 respectively.
As the Bulldogs entered the second half of the day, the battle began. St. Ursula 1 was in second place by 1 pin and battled their way to a first place finish with a grand total of 3569.
St. Ursula 2 battled through their 6 bakers to hold steady and finish with a total of 2232. Upon closer look at the final standings, they finished ahead of the other Reserve teams that were in attendance!
