Lebanon Boys Edge Out Anderson
In a match-up of two unbeaten ECC teams, Lebanon edged Anderson at Eastern Lanes Tuesday 2896-2870. Lebanon jumped out to an early lead that they never relinquished. Game 1 saw the Warriors fire a 1058 with games of 244 (Steven Kramer), 233 (Hunter McELhaney), and 218 (Gionni Williams). Anderson had a pair of 233's but trailed after game 1 1058-1002.
Scores dropped in game 2 as Lebanon extended thier lead to an even 100. The Warriors again had three 200+ games ...coming from Kramer , McElhaney, and freshman Carson Turner. Headed to bakers, the Warriors led 2050-1950.
The Raptors came out hot in game 1 as they posted a 255 to Lebanon's 210 cutting the lead to just 55 pins. In baker game 2, the Warriors got some of those pins back as they out dueled Anderson 227-213.
Lebanon led by 69 pins with two baker games left. Anderson cut the lead to 49 pins with a 224-204 win in game 3. Game 4 was pressure packed from start to finish. Lebanon looked to be in command until an open frame in 5th left the door wide open. Anderson put together a 5 bagger in frames 4-5-6-7-8 to force Lebanon to strike in frames 8-9-10 to seal the win. Freshman Tommy Hollon got the strike in the 8th. Senior Gionni Williams then struck in the 9th setting up the fantastic finish by senior Steven Kramer. Kramer went strike, strike, nine to seal the win for Lebanon and allow them to remain unbeaten on the season but more importantly go to 3-0 in the ECC.
The LHS JV boys also remained undefeated downing the Raptors 2217-2053. Sophomore Bentley Stanley had high series for Lebanon with a 370. Freshman Ryan Pelfrey had the high game rolling 4 strikes and 7 spares for a clean 210.
Next up for the Warriors is a non-league match with Edgewood on Tuesday at Eastern Lanes.
